  64. 1) I am completely against posting binaries in non-binary groups and do not
  65.     advocate doing so.  I was pointing out how to protect yourself from
  66.     having to download them in the future as IT WILL HAPPEN again and
  67.     again.

  69. 2) It seems I have a very knowledgeable and complete service provider
  70.     as they setup the UUCP packets for me to my custom tastes.  Ask
  71.     a tech (NOT SALES OR ADMIN) at your ISP.  Most should be able to
  72.     do this for you without additional cost. (IF THEY VALUE CUSTOMER SUPPORT)

  74. 3) Again I was posting not to advocate or defend posting binaries in non-binary
  75.     groups, but to offer ways of saving money from having to DL binaries when
  76.     you don't want them.. This was a problem we had when we setup the BBS
  77.     UUCP node back in 1991 and some calling around and talking to TECHS at
  78.     our ISP (NOT SALES OR ADMIN) came up with an easy and quick remedy
  79.     of an ISP solution preventing unwanted binaries by newsgroups defined anyway
  80.     we wanted it be it multipart headers or string search for thing like begin 644 and
  81.     the like.

  83. 4) Of course NOONE has to do this!!!!!! I was offering it as a possible solution to save
  84.     people some money on something that will definately happen again in the future.
  85.     But instead of taking it for what it's worth, it seems a handfull of people here have decided
  86.     to go on a crusade against what was a SUGGESTION by me..How the hell can I
  87.     force anyone to take the steps I have outlined anyway? I can't. I only pointed out
  88.     something that worked for us to save money!
